really really long story

One Dark cold oct night at midnight 2 people where walking (or in my case waddling) in from the hospital parking lot.

I woke up the morning of Oct 26 knowing that night we where going to go into the hospital and getting induced. Sadly i didn't sleep so well that night cause i was over my due date and very pregnant and uncomfortable and our fire alarm decided to let us know it had low battery (even though we changed its batteries) at 5:30. I remember my mom telling me that i was handling the day really well and not being nervous or anything, but i just dont think it really hit me that Baby P was going to be there the next day no matter what.

Jensen got off work around 10:30 and i think thats when it really hit me that we where headed to the hospital. My dad and jensen where able to give me a blessing which i'm so thankful for it was everything i needed to calm me down and to let me know that it was gonna be ok. One part i'll remember forever in my blessing was being told to be patient and not get over anxious. It really does show that he knows us all personally cause i'm not a very patient person in anyway.

When we got to the hospital they checked us in and i got my iv, then they pretty much said to just try and get some rest and we will wait and see how i progress. Jensen was able to fall right to sleep but i stayed awake listening to his little heart beating away and wondering what he would look like? If he would have any of my features? I was able to get a couple hours of sleep then the contractions started, at first i didn't really know what they where i thought they where just bad cramps then around 4ish they started to get really regular and the pain was getting pretty bad. I wasn't able to wake jensen up cause i couldn't move off my bed and i had nothing to throw at him. (yes i even tried texting him hoping he was sleeping on his phone) , i finally yelled his name loud enough i guess he heartd me and woke up and was able to help me get through the contractions.

I was able to get my epidural around 6ish and i have no idea how anyone goes through labor with out one of these things. It makes all the difference in the world, i wish i could get one around that time of month every month. I loved the guy who did my epidural too, i dont know if it was just the moment i was in or what but he had that soothing fatherly voice and touch that i felt like i should of invited him to thanksgiving dinner. I was so scared about moving while they did my epidural i made jensen hold my hand so i could channel all my energy into squeezing his hand. (i think he was suprised at how much strength i can channel.) After my epidural i was really able to get some sleep, i made jensen stay by my bed so if he feel asleep i could hit him. (i know i'm mean) Now i know somewhere in this time during the night Dr gatherum came in and broke my water...i dont really remember but i think it was right after i got my epidural after i got my epidural i think i blocked everything out cause i was in love with it so much.

They woke me up around 8ish to check me and started the pitocin. I dont know what it was but being on the epidural and laying on my back or the pitocin something really got me hyperventalating, i couldn't catch my breath and my whole body was shaking. They ended up putting me on oxygen and flipping my body to my left then to my right trying to get me to calm down. Turned out the pitocin was working really fast cause before i knew it i was fully dilated and ready to push. NOw this next part is from what my mom told me cause i think i just tuned everything out and i dont remember one bit of my actual labor part. She says that right when i got fully dilated the babies blood pressure dropped really low and was having me once again switch from my left side to my right, they also had me get up on my hands and knees and then back again on my left side. (how i dont remember all this is beyound me) They had called in the c-section nurse cause if his blood pressure had dropped any more i was to be rushed to the OR. Luckly my Doc got there and we started the pushing process...I pushed for a grand total of 6 times and little baby JAXSON TODD PRESTWICH was born at 9:38 Oct 27.

I remember the first time i saw him, they layed him out on my chest after he was born and i couldn't control myself i burst into tears, i couldn't stop looking at him and how perfect he was, he looked me straight in the eye like he knew who i was and this new emotion of love that i have never felt before all of a sudden was part of my life. I am so thankful and truly blessed that he was has been trusted to jensen and i to bring up. He got his first bath and he loved getting his hair washed he finds it relaxing i think. he cries the whole time he is getting a bath but the minute he gets his hair touched he just quites down and closes his eyes.

He has been a really good little boy, he hardly cries and when he does its one little scream to get my attention and then he is done. He is a really good sleeper too which i'm very thankful for. He probably wakes up around 12 and then again at 6, he loves his sleep. (he got that from his momma) Its been great learning from him and getting to bond with him. I couldn't ask for more.
